Dear Artists,

We are pleased to announce that the Third Biennial Anguilla International Arts Festival will take place in November, 2002. We invite you to participate in this exciting event on our beautiful Caribbean island.

The competition is open to painters in all media under the theme "Tropical Images". Prize money for the competition will total over US $15,000 and several paintings may be selected to be featured as Anguilla postage stamps. Please see the Rules and Registration Form for more information.

Everyone is welcome to attend and participate in the week-long festival, which will feature artist workshops, sidewalk shows and sales, exhibitions and critiques. We look forward to see you there.

The Competition

Who Can Enter

The competition is open to painters in all media, 18 years of age and over.

The Theme: "Tropical Images"

Awards

A total of US$15,000 will be awarded.

1st Place US $10,000
2nd Place US $2,500
3rd Place US $1,250
People's Choice* US $1,250

* Winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will not be eligible for the People's Choice award.

Calendar and Deadlines

April 30, 2002 Registration Forms, a maximum of 3 slides and an international bank draft in the amount of US $75 are due. Due to events of 9/11, mail for the original submission date was not delivered in Anguilla. Therefore, the deadline has been re-scheduled for April.
