About Anguilla

1787 to the Present - A Restoration in Progress

Mission Statement

It is our stated intention to restore the house to a condition as close to the original as possible.

The house was built in 1787, and at two hundred years old has weathered hurricanes, droughts, famine and war. The oldest building on Anguilla, and an integral part of its history, the house is in dire need of restoration.

Wallblake House was left to the Catholic Church in 1976 for use as a presbytery, and with the blessing of Bishop Donald Reece, is currently being restored for the use of the people of Anguilla. The Trust has been formed to oversee the restoration of this once beautiful mansion.
