At the closing ceremony on Thursday morning, Gaetano and Bob Green, treasurer and founding member of the Computer Club presented certificates to the children together with a CD and disc. The best student was chosen for interest, zeal, attention, ability, communication skills and politeness. Six year old Senegal Carty from Stoney Ground Primary School was the top student and was rewarded with a computer, much to her delight. (See picture right.)

Gaetano is a professor of Accounting and Financial Reporting at the University of Salerno in Italy. This is the third summer that he has spent in Anguilla, teaching computer related subjects to a wide range of persons and helping many business people on the island set up programmes.

For the third year running he has come from Italy to teach in Anguilla, said Bob Green. And not just computers. He gives the students real problems from geography, history, art and business. Hopefully Di Palo will be able to return next year, or permanently. Vince Cate, founder of the Computer Club, presented plaques of recognition for their work to Bob Green, Gaetano di Palo and Leroy Hill.
